"Cook, the younger sibling of (former Florida State star and second-year Minnesota Vikings running back) Dalvin Cook, is one young man that's well ahead of the majority of the running backs in his class," Cook's 247Sports evaluation said. "He's physically put together with a chiseled frame, and really shines when assisting in the passing game as well. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Cook is instinctive with impressive field vision for such a young tailback, but also impressed when maintaining balance in congested areas. He's natural and let's the game come to him, and really does a nice job of slipping through creases and making strong cuts with the pigskin in his hands."
As a program, Georgia is focused on its upcoming Sugar Bowl battle with Baylor. The Bulldogs lost out on a spot in the playoff after LSU defeated Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. After last year's 28-21 loss to the Texas Longhorns in the Sugar Bowl left a bad taste, Kirby Smart and the roster has plenty of motivation this time. It marks Georgia's 11th all-time appearance in the Sugar Bowl with a 4-6 program record.
"We look forward to representing the Southeastern Conference once again in the Allstate Sugar Bowl," Smart said after last week's announcement. "Having played there last year, we had the experience of the finest in hospitality, a vibrant city, and one of the country's most historic venues on gameday. I'm especially proud of our seniors who have had a great run with a record of 43-12 during their careers at Georgia. That's only one win short of the best four-year run in school history. And the opportunity to play a team like Baylor represents a great challenge for our team."
